Nyack Candy Shop Closes its Doors: News Report

The Nyack Free Press has the skinny on the Sweet Spot.

The Sweet Spot has been selling candy and confections in Nyack—but now it’s closing down, reports the Nyack Free Press.

According to the shop’s Facebook page: “The Sweet Spot would like to thank all of our customers and supporters for two wonderful years in Nyack. Today, Sunday August 31rst, will be our last day open for business so please stop by to pick up your favorite treats and say “so long”! All prices will be drastically reduced and everything must go!”

Nyack Free Press editor Bill Demarest said the business built up a quick connection with the community.

“The shop was opened by Melissa Pacheco and James Scott in 2012. During its time in Nyack, the shop has been connected with many community events and hosted a variety of fundraisers,” he wrote.
