Volunteer on Arbor Day By Planting Trees

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities in Nyack and Piermont?

Help out an environmental organization on Arbor Day this year by planting and watering saplings.

The Pound Ridge Land Conservancy is calling for volunteers to come to Carolin’s Grove Preserve April 29 to assist in the planting of 200 tree and shrub saplings and, at the same time, learn about the needs of local wildlife.

A spokeswoman for the conservancy said the preserve was damaged during Hurricane Sandy and is slowly recovering.
