Volunteers Wanted to Teach Fall-Prevention to Older Adults

Here is your chance to engage in a stimulating activity and make a difference in the lives of others. Free training starts January 7th.

A Matter of Balance is a free fall-prevention program for older adults. It is offered at several sites throughout Rockland County. A class meets 8 times for 2 hours each time and is taught by volunteers who are trained to become Fall Prevention Teachers called Coaches.

There is no charge for the training. Once you are trained, your commitment is to teach the class twice. We will work with you to arrange your schedule. The next training is Wednesdays from January 7 to February 25, 2015 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

For more information about becoming a Matter of Balance coach call 845-364-3839.
