"What is Happening at the John Green House?"

Win Perry will discuss the past, present and future of this historic stone house on lower Main Street in Nyack

Win Perry, retired architect and current President of the John Green Preservation Coalition, will give an illustrated talk about the progress to date on the rehabilitation of the John Green House on lower Main Street. He will speak about the work that remains and plans for its eventual use. He will also tell the story of Captain John Green, early 19th Century transportation pioneer and community builder.

A native Nyacker and a descendant of the early settlers of the community, Win was the leader of a group of volunteers who restored the Hopper House in the 1970s. He now devotes his dedication and expertise to one of Nyack's oldest buildings, the John Green House on lower Main Street.
