• In Memory: David 'Walter' W. Wood, Age 87 (myrye.com) — Oppenheim neighbors are mourning longtime resident David “Walter” Wood, 87, who died May 3 from injuries after a motor vehicle accident. After retiring, he and his wife Terri made their beloved “Ponderosa” home in Oppenheim, where he became a familiar, helpful presence in the tight-knit community. A Celebration of Life will be announced later by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home.
