Alice Sanborn: Lifelong Ossining Resident

Alice Catherine (Wood) Sanborn, a lifelong resident of Ossining, died December 3, 2014. She was 99 years old.

Alice was born June 5, 1915 at the Ossining Hospital to Henry Judd and Ethel Grace (McQuilken) Wood.

She graduated from Ossining High School in 1933. On October 9, 1942, she married Philip Emerson Sanborn at the State Street home of her parents. Mrs. Sanborn was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ossining.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Judith Wood Sanborn Cote (Wilfred III), grandchlildren, Wilfred IV (Ann Marie) Cote, Elizabeth (Mathew) Del Conte and Catherine (Frederick) Eliot and 6 great-grandchildren.

Reposing at Leach and Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 10AM-12 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 PM. Burial will follow at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
