OSSINING, NY — The Bronx man behind a bizarre home invasion and burglary has been sentenced.
Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that 35-year-old Lorenzo Chambers, of the Bronx, was sentenced on Tuesday to 20 years to life in state prison.
He was convicted in March, after a trial, of felony second-degree burglary; and a related misdemeanor for a home-invasion burglary in February 2025.

"Crimes of this nature have profound, long-lasting effects on the victims," Cacace said. "Sadly, the impact of incidents like these will be felt long after the jail cell doors are closed on the defendant. This severe sentence sends a strong message to our community that this type of criminal behavior will not be tolerated."
On Feb. 12, 2025, Chambers broke into a home on S. Highland Ave., in Ossining, while the homeowners were in the home.
Authorities say that he stole a silver necklace, a silver bracelet, sunglasses, a snap-on socket, and a jar full of coins.
After fleeing the scene, and on his way to the nearby Metro-North Station, he was apprehended by Ossining Police Department officers.
"The fact that someone broke into our personal space—a place we had always considered safe—has created a constant sense of fear and insecurity," the homeowner stated in a victim's impact statement read aloud in court by an Assistant DA. "Since that day, we no longer feel at peace in our own home. Everyday activities such as sleeping, being alone, or simply hearing a noise have become sources of anxiety."
The investigation was conducted by the Ossining Police Department, and was prosecuted by Assistant DAs Marissa Morra-Wynn and Victoria Clarkson.
