Bronx Man Behind Terrifying Westchester Home Invasion Nabbed On His Way To Metro-North Station: DA
Ossining police soon caught the burglar, who stole silver jewelry, sunglasses, a snap-on socket, and a jar full of coins.
OSSINING, NY — Police quickly caught up with the man behind a bizarre home invasion and burglary.
Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced on Monday that 35-year-old Lorenzo Chambers, of the Bronx, was convicted on Thursday of felony second-degree burglary, and a related misdemeanor, for a home invasion burglary in Ossining.
Chambers is scheduled for sentencing on April 14.

On Feb. 12, 2025, Chambers broke into a home on S. Highland Ave., in Ossining, while the homeowners were in the home.
Authorities say that he stole a silver necklace, a silver bracelet, sunglasses, a snap-on socket, and a jar full of coins.

After fleeing the scene, and on his way to the nearby Metro-North Station, he was apprehended by Ossining Police Department officers.
"The consequences of a home invasion burglary reach far beyond the underlying theft," DA Cacace said. "Breaching the sanctity of someone's home leaves lasting psychological scars that can linger for years. I am grateful that the police managed to apprehend this defendant so quickly after his crimes. We will seek to ensure that he is held fully accountable in our sentencing submission."
