Arlene Corda: Parishioner at St. Augustine's Church

Visiting hours are March 13 and 14.

On March 10, 2013, Arlene Yvonne Corda died at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y., at the age of 77, with her loving husband Anthony, Sr., beloved children Cathy (DuBois), Frances (Whitehead), Mary and Anthony, Jr., at her side.  

Those who knew her would agree that Arlene lived a life in keeping with her strong Catholic faith and devotion to her family.

A prominent member of the Blue Army Society for more than 25 years, she organized countless religious outings in the Tri-State area.

Devout parishioner of St. Augustine's Church since 1957, her role was one of energy and unwavering faith, often noted by those who knew and truly loved her. From church socials to the well known Italian Festival, along with countless fundraisers, she served with a warming smile.  Her faith and life were synonymous.  

It was her way, and she shared that with so many - particularly her family, one of two of the greatest joys she has embraced.  She lived for her family.

Mrs. Corda will be remembered for the life she led, love she gave and teachings she freely shared with family and friends.  She is truly loved and will be sorely missed.  Arlene will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many.

Survived by two siblings; Anthony Cacheria (Las Vegas), and Irene Lake (White Plains); 8 grand children and 20 great grandchildren, and loving daughter-in-law Kathy, and sons-in-law Harold and Mike.

She was pre-deceased by 10 siblings and her parents Antonio and Erminia Caixeiro.

Visitation at Dorsey Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday, 4-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 10 am, St. Augustine's Church, with interment at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene's memory to St. Augustine's Church, 381 N. Highland Ave., Ossining, N.Y. 10562 would be appreciated.
