Third Drug Arrest on Wixon Pond Road
Police announce the arrest of a third resident of the house where assault rifles and heroin were recovered Friday.

A third resident of 254 Wixon Pond Road is in custody on a drug charge.
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that Kyle R. Heady, 27, was arrested about 90 minutes after police picked up two other residents, Maheer Issa Jamal, 27, and Liridona Krasniqi, 24.
Jamal and Krasniqi were arrested at 4 A.M. Friday on Wixon Pond Road after a months-long investigation by police who executed a search warrant afterward at the house. Police allege that in addition to drugs, they found two assault-style rifles with high-capacity magazines and two 12-gauge shotguns inside the cottage. One of the rifles and one of the shotguns were found loaded. A supply of ammunition for all the weapons was also recovered, police said.

The sheriff's office said he was on state parole for a prior criminal conviction and thus could also face a charge of violating the conditions of his parole.
He was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Thomas Jacobellis and sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond. He could receive up to nine years in prison if convicted on the drug charge, police said.
