Assemblywoman Galef Endorses Gearity for Mayor

Longtime New York State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef has endorsed Mayor Victoria Gearity for re-election. She joins a growing list of local leaders encouraging Democratic voters to support Gearity in Thursday's primary vote.

In a statement Galef said:

"I will be voting for Victoria on Primary Day, Thursday September 13th. As a Village of Ossining resident, I have been supportive of her commitment to keep the last two years of our tax rate at 0%. At the same time, she has brought in new businesses and brought transparency to Village government through her weekly Office Hours and walking tours of our community. I encourage you to vote yes for Victoria on Thursday."

Gearity has also earned the endorsements of Ken Jenkins, Westchester County Deputy Executive; Dana Levenberg, Ossining Town Supervisor; Peekskill Mayor Andre Rainey; Thomasina Laidley-Brown, chairwoman of the Ossining Democratic Committee; Manuel Quezada, candidate for Trustee; former trustee and union leader Robert Daraio; and numerous residents and business owners.
