Assemblywoman Galef focuses on the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail on “Dear Sandy” TV Show

Assemblywoman Galef speaks with representatives from Scenic Hudson about one of their projects in her district

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef interviews Amy Kacala, Senior Planner for Scenic Hudson, and Althea Mullarkey, Public Policy Analyst for Scenic Hudson about the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail on this episode of “Dear Sandy.”

The Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail started as a number of community conversations in 2007. Since then, it has become a concerted effort with organizations including Scenic Hudson and the communities it impacts. The trail connects villages and tourist attractions, like the popular Breakneck Ridge Trailhead, and will hopefully facilitate travel, commerce, and appreciation of the Hudson River in Putnam County.

“I am excited to see how the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail is developing,” said Galef. “I believe that the work of Scenic Hudson and its partners on this project will encourage people to enjoy the nature around them.”
