Assemblywoman Galef Hosts TV Special Featuring Students Who Intern for the State Assembly District Office

Assemblywoman Galef focuses on her 2017 summer interns

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with special guests Abigael Monahan, Alexander Lagos, Emma Wickey, Lynsey Gillespie, Maxwell Ishmael, Mae McGrath, and Nick Farrell on her television program, “Dear Sandy.” This dynamic group of lively young students was selected to be a part of the summer internship program offered by Galef in her district office.

The Interns and Sandy discussed a wide range of topics that included their initial expectations to working in the office. The students range from high school juniors to college seniors while providing plenty of ideas and energy to the office. “I say this time and time again; nothing is done in our office without the help of our Interns.” said Assemblywoman Galef. “They do such a great job of doing the tasks assigned to them while learning about local and state issues.”

The Interns also discuss memorable events and the stories of how they found this volunteer opportunity. This episode, entitled “Assembly Internships,” will air on Fridays in September.
