Assemblywoman Galef Reminds All Voters to Help Update the Board of Elections Voter Registration Lists - Watch for Postcard fr
Help to make sure your county's voter lists reflect the active voter population
Assemblywoman Sandy Galef is reminding all voters to check their mail for a card recently sent from the Westchester or Putnam County Board of Elections, to help the Board update their information and remove voters’ names that have moved away or have died.
The postcard tells you your polling location, dates, and times of elections. If you receive a card with incorrect information, follow the instructions on the back of the card and then place the card back in the mailbox, so that all of your information can be updated as well as removing disqualified voters from the voter roll.
“I received an information card myself and it made me realize that the Board of Elections may not have the most recent data for all of the Westchester and Putnam voters. It is critical that our voter lists are up-to-date and contain correct information. It is up to all of us to assist the Board of Elections in correcting our voter lists. So please read the card and don’t just throw it away,” said Assemblywoman Galef.
