Calling all Local Musicians and Venues: Mike Risko Music Now Planning this Year’s Biggest Westchester Music Event

'Make Music Day: Live Music Events Planned for Northern Westchester -- Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Chappaqua

Mike Risko Music is looking for local musicians and venues to participate in their third annual Make Music Day on Wednesday, June 21. Acoustic soloist and duets who have their own gear and equipment are encouraged to join this celebration of the summer solstice. All levels and ages are welcome. Musicians will be placed all around Ossining, Chappaqua and Briarcliff in varied locations.

These Northern Westchester towns are the first and only communities in Westchester to participate in the global event -- Make Music Day -- an internationally-recognized annual celebration of music featuring a full day of free, live musical performances and workshops.

These Westchester communities will join more than 750 cities around the globe in this international celebration of song, which takes place annually on the longest day of the year, the summer solstice.

Local venues are also invited to sign up for the event, which last year attracted thousands and received widespread media attention. An additional draw will be “fun activities” to go along with the musical acts.
