Croton-on-Hudson Celebrates Two New Eagle Scouts
Their service projects provided useful renovation at Holy Name of Mary Church in the village.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Troop 28 BSA presented Carmelo Camillieri and Sean Martin with the Eagle Scout Rank at their Court of Honor April 14.
Camillieri's service project consisted of building shelving units to provide storage space in the Holy Name of Mary gymnasium for toys that are used by a children's play group. Martin's service project involved renovating a very outdated childcare room that is utilized by the religious education program at Holy Name of Mary Church.
Mike Reynolds and Paul Kooney were the masters of ceremonies while several dignitaries including Mayor Brian Pugh, Legislature Catherine Borgia and Regina Clarkin, HNM Religious Ed Director, were present to deliver honors to the boys. Tom Livingston welcomed all the guests and Patrick DeLasho delivered the Eagle Charge. Paul Kooney presented the Eagle Medal and Eagle Scout Oath.

A reception was held at the Croton Yacht Club.
Martin plans to attend SUNY Cortland in the fall and study education. Camillieri plans to attend Weschester Community College in the fall.
