Following a yearlong construction process, a safer and cleaner environment for the Croton-Harmon School District’s transportation staff and vehicles is now fully operational.

“We went from an old building that was really beat up to a nice, clean facility that I am thankful for every day,” said Transportation Supervisor Rochelle O’Mara. “We have cleaner air, a space to store equipment, adequate bathrooms and places for people to eat.”

Additional improvements were made to a narrow staircase, rotting floors and garage bays. More lighting was also added to the yard, which increases outdoor safety.

“The most important thing I would like to say to our public is thank you,” said O’Mara. “We are very appreciative of the community and the investment they made in us.”
