Croton Trustees to Promote Janine King
The assistant village manager, she's been the acting village manager since May.

Janine King, who has been serving as interim village manager in Croton-on-Hudson, has been appointed as Village Mayor.
King, who has lived in Croton for 25 years and worked for the village since 1997, took over the top spot in May when Abraham Zambrano left to take over the manager job in Ossining. She started as a part-time records clerk.
“As a result of having held a variety of positions, I have a broad understanding of Village operations,” King said in a prepared statement, “As a Village resident, I clearly understand the rising expectations of residents and businesses for increased services, accountability, and professionalism from Village government.”
