Edward C. Altro, Sr: Former Ossining Resident

Edward C. Altro, Sr., a former resident of Ossining, NY, died on April 10, 2018 at the Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Ed was 72.

He was born in the Bronx on April 14, 1945, son of Joseph and Cecilia Scott Altro. He was a resident of New Paltz.

Ed was a franchise owner of Wise Potato Chips, local distribution route for 20 years before retirement. He served in the US Navy from 1964-66.

He is survived by three sons, Scott, Edward, Jr., and Christopher, one daughter Jennifer, one brother Art, one sister Joyce and several grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by two brothers Ronald and Joseph and one sister Kathy. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. John G. Crawford is acting as Funeral Director.Image via Shutterstock
