States Suspended?
For those who have the opportunity, make sure you can get to Troy to see the Pride play. One reason of course is the obvious one, that following a local team at the state final four is a special thing.
But another reason is it isn't certain how many more state tournaments fans will be able to see in the future.
That's because there has been talk about suspending state tournaments for two years in all sports, because of financial reasons, beginning with the 2013-14 school year, according to Rich Thomaselli's fine work on MSG Varsity.
Lax Rule Adjustments
The Croton-Harmon and Ossining boys lacrosse squads will have to get used to some adjustments to the rules that are being made this year, with the biggest among them being the elimination of the 10-second count after the initial touch.
See what it's all about in Mike Dougherty's post on the LoHud Boys Lacrosse Blog.
