
Carmela Badia of Ossining died peacefully on June 30, 2015 with her family by her side, she was 87.
She was born September 25, 1927 in Sassinoro, Italy to Michele and Angela Mastrantuono. She came to New York in 1966 and over the years worked as a seamstress and a cook.
She was an excellent cook, who loved to make homemade pasta/pizza and jar fresh tomato sauce. She also loved to crochet, tend to her vegetable and flower gardens and was happiest being with family and staying in touch with friends.

Carmela was pre-deceased by her husband, Michele, in 1993 and brother, Pasquale, in 2014. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law Angela and Christopher Millman, loving sisters and brothers Antonia Palombo, John Mastrantuono, Nicola Mastrantuono and Maria Manocchio as well as many nieces, nephews and dear cousin Pietrina Solla.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice are appreciated.
