George Quartucio: Former Scoutmaster of Troop 49

Visiting hours for Mr. Quartucio are Friday at the Dorsey Funeral Home.

George Victor Quartucio passed away on April 10, 2013, devoted husband of  wife Marjorie Ann who predeceased him on December 4, 2000 after 50 years of marriage.

George was a caring father and is survived by his four sons George, John (Joan), Michael (Suzanne), & Gerald; his two sisters, Elvira Pisco & Peggy (Louie) DiLoretto; his beloved grandchildren Daniel (Danielle), Matthew, John, Victor, Joseph, Elise and Andrea Quartucio; and his good friends Doug MacArthur, John Beatto & Russell Bauer.

George was born in Yonkers, NY, October 25, 1927 and was the son of George and Dorothy (Whiting) Quartucio.  He was 85.

George was a Veteran of WWII and served as an Airman with the U.S. Navy from 1946-48 in Pensacola, Fl. He received the World War II Victory Medal. George worked at Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. in Mt. Vernon and retired as Plant Manager in 1990.

George was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church and a former Scoutmaster for Troop #49 at St. Augustine's from 1965-1971.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4pm-8pm. at the Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:45 am at St. Augustine's Church.  Interment will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Phelps Hospice, 701 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY, 10591, or Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, 299 N. Highland Ave., Ossining, NY, 10562, would be greatly appreciated.
