Gullotta House Hands Out 50,000 Meals And Counting
The operation outside the Ossining Stop & Shop on Fridays takes volunteers and lots of participating restaurants.

OSSINING, NY — Gullotta House, which has been distributing free meals on Fridays for more than three months, hit a milestone last Friday: they handed out their 50,000 meal.
"It's been a real community effort, thanks to all our volunteers and partners and the participating restaurants," Matthew Gullotta told Patch.
The group has been helping local businesses at the same time by buying said meals from a long list of local restaurants.

Gullotta House provides aid to residents of Westchester County needing financial assistance or facing other hardships. It offers food vouchers, educational scholarships, holiday assistance and community entertainment — and since the new coronavirus outbreak hit,
Among the partners: The Grille at Somers Pointe, Tarry Tavern, A.S.A.P. Mortgage Corp, Stephanie's Mission, Somers PTA, WestCAP, Briarcliff Youth Soccer CLub, Neighbor's Link, Tasty Table, Hudson Anchor, Orfino's, Terra Rustica, and Westchester Tobacco-Stationary, Stamford Diner, Briarcliff Market & Deli, DeliBagel Cafe, Alamo Drafthouse, Tazza Cafe, Taco Inc, Falafel Taco, Nadine's, Butcher's Fancy, Dubrovnik Restaurant.

On Fridays, in addition to handing out meals in Ossining in front of the Stop & Shop, the volunteers also deliver meals to COVID-19 quarantined and homebound residents in the area. At the height of the pandemic, they were packaging and delivering almost 500 meals.
