Letter to the Editor: Re-elect Frank Schnecker

Dear Editor,

The Ossining Board of Education (BOE) is fortunate to have Frank Schnecker, who is one of the best BOE members in the history of Ossining School Board service. Our community is so very lucky that Frank is generously running for re-election to the BOE on Tuesday, May 16 th .

Let me be FRANK about Frank:

  • Frank is a big picture person with a focus on the whole child.
  • Frank advocates at the board the table & beyond for resources that better our schools.
  • Frank has a strong Focus on ensuring all our students and staff have their needs met to
  • have a successful school journey and preparation after graduation.
  • Frank collaborates with all colleagues in a meaningful and impactful manner to make
  • decisions based on facts, data and reach-based initiatives.
  • Frank is innovative & creative to ensure our schools meet the needs of every student in the buildings and pushing all to have our children thrive.
  • In this ever changing digital world, Frank is an advocate for student data privacy and educating students on the complex challenges of their data.
  • Frank demonstrates the ability to have the tough conversations around equity and doing what’s right for our school community and beyond.

But there’s more:

  • Frank is a lifelong Ossining resident who truly understands, supports and loves our Ossining community.
  • Frank is a relentless advocate who led the way to unfreeze $39+ million dollars of school aid for our schools.
  • Frank also serves on the BOCES board AND is the Past President and former Legislative Advocacy Chair of the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association.

I want to be FRANK about Frank: I can think of no better child & community advocate to have on the Ossining Board of Education than Frank Schnecker.
