Letter to the Editor: Schnecker for the Ossining School Board

Dear Editor,
Please join our family in re-electing Frank Schnecker for the Ossining School Board on Tuesday, May 16 th .

My husband Matt and I have raised our three children in Ossining who all graduated from Ossining High School. I have resided in Ossining for 25 years served on all the Ossining PTA boards and Region Director for Westchester East Putnam PTA (WEPR), in addition currently serving on the board of Ossining Community that Cares. I have worked with Frank in many capacities, and I’m extremely grateful that he wants to serve another term on the Ossining School Board. Frank is a fierce advocate for all children and has demonstrated that at the board table and beyond Ossining.

Frank has been advocating for our school district for many years starting when a charter school wanted to come into our district to getting our district more money every year to finally getting Foundation Aid fully funded. Frank has been in Albany talking with legislators all year long, not only during budget time.

He has served on the boards of BOCES, Westchester Putnam School Board Association and more to serve for all children.

Frank is deeply dedicated to the Ossining school community and adds tremendous value at the board table as demonstrated by his willingness to have the important conversations to collaborate with his board colleagues, the school district and community to improve outcomes for students.

Frank has been an outstanding board member and community advocate, always putting all children first by fighting for financial resources from the state to ensure that Ossining’s students receive a quality education with access to opportunities along with supporting our educators and staff.

It will be my honor, with my family, to re-elect Frank Schnecker for the Ossining School Board on Tuesday, May 16 th at the OHS gym.
