Letter To The Editor: Re-Elect Banta To Ossining School Board

To the editor:

I am a lifelong resident of Ossining, from a family of OHS graduates, a former member of the Ossining School Board, and a Mental Health Family Support Advocate. I am voting for the re-election of Melissa Banta to the Ossining School Board. Having known Melissa for years, she is a dedicated, results-oriented individual who has consistently volunteered her time to benefit the Ossining school community.

School boards need members who are willing to think through complex issues and work with others to meet the needs of our school district. Melissa Banta has shown impeccable leadership skills that have assisted in the district establishing comprehensive mental health supports, successfully advocating for foundation aid, kept school taxes flat, and establishing the district’s comprehensive Long-Range Plan to meet the needs of all students. I am confident in the abilities and intentions of Melissa Banta to always keep the future of all students in mind.

Please join me and my family in voting for Melissa Banta on May 17th in the OHS GYM.
