March To Come In Like A Lion With Nor'easter
Hazardous weather outlooks have already been issued for much of the Hudson Valley over a major coastal storm expected later this week.

More unsettled weather is coming to the Hudson Valley after a week and more of very unsettled weather. To recap, briefly — we had a snowstorm Feb. 17, then the warmest day on record on the 20th, and on the 22nd much of the HV saw 30 degree temps and snow or sleet.
It looks like we're in for another wild ride. The first three days of the work week look just splendid for this time of the year. Dry conditions are expected through Wednesday, with highs in the 50s, 10-15 degrees above normal.
Things will deteriorate by Thursday afternoon, though, as a storm system approaches the area. Moderate to possibly locally heavy precipitation along with gusty winds are likely Thursday night through Friday, the NWS says.

At the moment, that precipitation is expected to be mainly in the form of rain. There is a chance of some snow mixing with the rain late Friday into Saturday as temperatures dip to near freezing.

The forecast will almost certainly change over the next few days (sign up for Patch news and weather alerts for updates), but for now, we are looking at a 36-hour storm with rain potentially falling from Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning. With more than two inches of rain possible, flooding looks to be the main concern at this point.

For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester, the NWS only warns:
There is a low chance for flash flooding from Thursday night into Friday night.
