Mary Jane Cox of Croton-on-Hudson passed away on August 16, 2013.
Mary Jane was born on May 4, 1929 in Rochester, NY to Francis & Frances Monk. She was married on Sept. 3, 1949 to the late Christopher Cox.
Mary worked for 28 years at the Country House Retirement Home in Yorktown.
She is survived by her two daughters Susan Wallace Grnuer (Tom), Carolyn Cox (Carmine Guiliani), two sons Christopher Cox(Sandy) and Stephen Cox, and a sister Jan Huether. Also survived by three grandchildren Stephen, Dan, Eric, and two great grandchildren Thomas & David. Mary Jane leaves behind her “Best Friend” her dog Gia. Predeceased by a daughter Joan, sister Sue and two brothers Bud & Al.
The Cox family will receive friends at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial Tuesday at Saint Mary of the Assumption 117 Valley Road, Katonah NY 10536 at 10am. Interment to follow at Amawalk Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Jude’s Research Hospital or an animal Charity would be appreciated.
