Mary Viola, a resident of Beacon and former longtime resident of Briarcliff Manor, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Mary was born on February 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Balloch. She was 78.
Mary met her husband William at a Knights of Columbus Dance in White Plains, after immigrating to the US around 1961, and they married in 1963. Her family moved to Briarcliff Manor around 1972. She was a retired office worker and supervisor at Westchester Valve and Fitting, formerly of Briarcliff.
Surviving Mrs. Viola are her two children William (Leeann) and Dianne (Rui) Alves; and her five loving grandchildren Aysia and Nyah Alves, and Devon, Nathan and Olivia Viola.

Mary’s husband, William, predeceased her on August 17, 1999.
Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Dorsey. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining. (914) 941-2556. Interment Dale Cemetery, Ossining.
