Celebrate the Winter Solstice with All-Day Music Pop-Up Concerts, Events and a "Christmas Carol Flash Mob"

Ossining, N.Y., December 21, 2016 – Mike Risko Music and Make Music Ossining Briarcliff will bring the first Make Music Day Winter on Wednesday, December 21st to the Ossining area. Live music will light up Ossining on this dark day of winter. Traditionally, Make Music Day or Fete de la Musique is celebrated all around the world on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It is an internationally-recognized annual celebration of music featuring a full day of free, live musical performances and workshops all over the globe. New York City is also celebrating Make Music Day Winter with outdoor musical celebrations and participatory parades on December 21st.
Mike Risko Music, located at 144 Croton Avenue in Ossining, will be open starting at 1pm and will provide a schedule to anyone who wants to participate and attend the pop-up concerts in town. Schedules can also be found on their website, www.mikeriskomusicschool.com. The events are free and open to the public. A special highlight will be a Christmas Carol Flash Mob at 6:30pm, beginning at Mike Risko Music – and is open to all who want to sing.
“We wanted to help light up the darkest day of the year with some music.
