Nor'Easter Conditions Possible On The 5th Anniversary Of Sandy
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the lower Hudson Valley.

Here we go again? The Hudson Valley missed getting socked with heavy rain on Tuesday (Connecticut got 3-5 inches), but now another significant rain and wind storm is in the forecast for Sunday into Monday. At this time, no one knows how much rain we could receive or just how strong the wind will be.
"A strong nor’easter will develop and track along the Eastern Seaboard and tap into tropical moisture and bring widespread heavy rain and the potential for hurricane force wind gusts from Florida to Maine," Weather Network meteorologist Doug Gillham says.
The National Weather Service has already issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

The potential exists for a strong cold front to approach from the west, while an intensifying storm moves up the coast, Sunday into Sunday night. This storm could produce heavy rain capable of causing area and small stream flooding during this time frame, and also strong winds.
The storm is expected to hit the region on the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Sandy.
"By the time the tropical storm reaches New York state and New England, it may be moving along at a pace close to 40 mph," says Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist. "While its fast movement may limit the storm's tropical intensity and duration of the rain, interaction with the non-tropical storm will enhance the rainfall rate and may still cause strong wind gusts."
