Obituary: Annie Pearl Bentley of Ossining

Annie Pearl Bentley was born on June 30th, 1938 to the late Clifford and Plezzie McDonald in Sebring, Florida. She was one of two children. Annie was raised in Sebring Florida. After marrying her husband Lewis Bentley, they moved to Ossining, NY.

Annie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She always put her family first. Her love for kids was undeniable. She went by many names in the neighborhood; Ms. Pearl, Annie Pearl and Mama Pearl. Annie was a strong, passionate and charismatic person who was never afraid to speak from the heart. Annie loved cooking, shopping on QVC and conversing with her best friend Plezzie. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo and the lottery.

On Friday, May 31st, 2019, Annie passed away peacefully at Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor NY.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her longtime husband of 60 years, Lewis Bentley; her daughter, Yolanda Bentley; her sons, Daryl Bentley, Mark Thorton, Johnny Thorton, Eddie Bentley, Terrie Bentley, Kunta Watson, Jonathan Holmes, William Bentley, Djion Bentley and a host of grandsons and granddaughters, other relatives and friends.

Annie will be greatly missed, never forgotten and forever in our hearts
