Obituary: Daniel P. Sausedo, Former Ossining Resident

He was a life-member of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department and retired after 36 years with the public works department.

Daniel P. Sausedo, 70, of Port Orange, FL, and a former lifelong Ossining resident, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2020.

Dan was born in Tarrytown on June 20, 1950 and was the son of Vincent and Madeline (Baker) Sausedo.

Dan was a native and longtime resident of Ossining, NY, where he was a life-member of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department, Ossining Hose Co.

Through the years he played for several recreational sports teams, including the Ossining PBA and A&P softball teams.

Dan was a classic car enthusiast having restored a 1932 Plymouth Hot Rod, and was a Sports Fan. He was an avid golfer, and looked forward to traveling to Myrtle Beach to meet with his buddies to play. “Danny was a good friend to many."

Dan retired from the Ossining Department of Public Works as Foreman after 36 years of devoted service. Dan never shied away from hard work, and proudly worked to provide for his family. He was a loving and generous ‘Poppy’ to his grandsons.

Dan is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Charlotte Elyse Sausedo, his daughters Danielle (Richard) Parthemore and Megan Sausedo, and his grandsons Richard Parthemore III and Jack Parthemore. He is additionally survived by his brother Frank Sausedo, his sister Suzanne (Ira) Krause, as well as nieces and a nephew. Dan will be deeply missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations on Dan’s behalf to Health Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, FL, where Dan was cared for in his final days.
