Obituary: Frank J. Ferraro

Frank J. Ferraro passed away peacefully on July 2, 2019. He was 88 years old. Frank was born in Ossining, NY on May 6, 1931 to Francesco and Christina (Ippolito) Ferraro. He was a graduate of Ossining High School and a lifelong resident of Ossining.

Frank was a US Army Korean War Veteran receiving an Honorable Discharge as Sergeant in October 1954.

He worked for Metro-North Railroad for most of his career and retired after 45 years of employment.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris and is survived by their four children Frank A. (Debbie) Ferraro, Dianne (Jeff) Faramo, Joseph (Midge[predeceased]) Ferraro and Dorinne (Joe) Kopfensteiner. Also surviving are his loving 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Frank enjoyed gardening, painting and spending time with his family, who will keep fond memories of him forever.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Dorsey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13 at 10 am at St. Anne’s Church, 25 Eastern Avenue, Ossining, NY. Interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
