Obituary: Jayne K. Meany Of Ossining
She was a member of Ossining Women's Club and a devoted member of St. Augustine Church.

Jayne (Kautsky) Meany was born on April 23,1933 to Frank and Teresa (Carpinelli) Kautsky. She had an older brother William Stanley Kautsky (passed in 2018). She graduated High School in 1951 from Gorton H.S. in Yonkers, New York. She attended the Katherine Gibbs Business school in NYC, upon graduation she took a position with Commercial Solvents Corporation in NYC.
She married Joseph T. Meany in 1956 at the St.Denis church in Yonkers, New York. In 1959, Her son Paul Joseph Meany was born. Paul passed away on February 26, 1975.

In 1961, The family relocated to Syracuse New York at the request of Union Pacific Railroad. There they experienced a couple of harsh winters and returned to Ossining in 1964. They bought a house on Pocantico Road and settled in with wonderful neighbors. Jayne resided in the same house until her passing. Her loving husband Joseph Meany passed in 1994.
In 1997, Jayne took a job at Kykuit site for the Historic Hudson Valley as a tour guide at the Rockefeller estate for 19 years. She loved her job and loved her fellow workers even more. Jayne loved reading, watching TV, and working in her yard. She was a member of Ossining Women’s Club and a devoted member of the Church of St. Augustine, Ossining, New York.

Her loving and warm spirit will be forever in our hearts and missed dearly.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Freida Kautsky; Nephews: William Stanley Kautsky Jr. and Brian Gallagher; Nieces: Nancy Severance, Dawn Whalen, Susan Serven, and Kathleen Zaccagnino.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11am at St Augustine Church with the interment at St Augustine Cemetery.
