Obituary: Joseph J. Peanamanda

Joseph J. Peanamanda 72 – A longtime Ossining native passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020 in Ayer, Massachusetts. Joe was born in Ossining on June 11, 1948 and was the son of the late Angelo and Gloria (Perrotta) Peanamanda.

Joe was a graduate of Ossining High School class of 1966. He was a graduate of N.Y. Institute of Technology in 1970 and received his Masters in Business Administration from Manhattan College. He was a retired Financial Manager with IBM at the Watson Institute.

He played baseball at OHS and at N.Y. Institute of Technology as a first baseman. When he was playing softball in Ossining, he played third base. He coached Little League through Varsity baseball in Ossining.

He was a Parishioner of St. Theresa’s Church.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Sandra; his two children Jake (Michelle) and Daniel (Amy); four grandchildren Julia, Gianna, Saige and Lily.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday November 21 from 1-5pm at Dorsey. The Memorial Funeral Mass will be Monday November 23 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff Manor.
