Obituary: Professor Geraldine Ruiz Torres

Geraldine Ruiz Torres, a resident of Ossining, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019.
Geraldine was born in Jamaica, Queens on May 9, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Plunkett) Ruiz. She was 76.

Gerry was a retired professor and chairperson of the radiology dept. at Hostos Community College in the Bronx. She was also an Elder at the Christ Alive Ministries in Hartsdale.

Geraldine is survived by her husband Salvatore Torres; her daughter Danya (Frank) Manicchio; her step-children and grandchildren also survive her. She was predeceased by two of her siblings

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Christ Alive Ministries, Hartsdale. The interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
