Obituary: Susan Riordan Of Ossining

Susan Milligan Riordan passed on at 61 on November 17th at home in Ossining, NY after a long illness. She was born and raised in Manhattan, NY, graduated from Nightingale School in ’79, and from Syracuse University’s School of Architecture in ’84.

After early success at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, she would go on to run her own practice for over 24 years in Westchester and neighboring lands. She was a member of many local groups, including BNI, the Ossining Chamber of Commerce, the Ossining Boat and Canoe Club, and NY AIA groups. She was a passionate advocate and lover of nature, reflected in those she associated with and groups she supported.

She is survived by her long-term partner Eugene Andreiuci, her two children, Alex and John Lisowy, her mother, Ann Wiggins Riordan, and a wealth of friends and other family.

Reposing, Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-5 PM, with personal readings held at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to may contribute to the ALS Association.
