Todd Temple Swanzey, age 66, of Ossining and Putnam Valley, NY passed away peacefully in Phelps Hospital in Tarrytown, NY from complications of COPD on October 30th, 2020.
Born on October 1st, 1954, he was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Eugene H. Swanzey. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Smith Swanzey of New Paltz, NY; three brothers, Gregg of Highland, NY, Kevin of Maine, NY, and Eric of Beverly Farms, MA; and five nieces and nephews.

Todd, who was born in Hamilton, MT and grew up in Warwick, NY, graduated from Cornell University with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to become Senior Staff R&D Engineer at Ascensia Diabetes Care in Parsippany, NY specializing in embedded software development, mentoring other developers and managing feasibility studies. Ascensia Diabetes Care is a global company dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes and helping empower them to take charge of their health and happiness. Their goal is to provide products and solutions that make a positive, daily difference for people with diabetes, enabling them to live richer lives. Todd held several patents granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Todd was indeed a gentle and quiet soul with an infectious smile that family and friends will miss. He was a great and generous man.

Due to concerns regarding Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later time, to be determined, in 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to assist college students seeking an education.
