Obituary: Trudy E. Cranston Of Ossining

Trudy E. Cranston, a lifelong resident of Ossining, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020. She was born in Birmingham, AL on October 8, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Ted and Laura (Sturges) Brown. She was 77.

Mrs. Cranston was a graduate of Ossining High School, class of 1960 and the Wilford Beauty Academy in White Plains. She was a member of the Ossining United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Bethel Nursing Home, Val Anders Beauty Salon. Trudy also had her own business as a hairstylist at Seniors homes in the Ossining area. Trudy was a devoted Yankee fan.

Mrs. Cranston is survived by her son Thomas (Elizabeth); her sister Teddy (Jack) Oxton of New Milford, CT; her three grandsons Thomas, Brian and Joseph; her sister-in-law Kathy Brown; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Trudy was predeceased by her husband James; her son Jimmy; her siblings Judith Behrens and David (Butch) Brown.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 19th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc, 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. The funeral service will follow at Dorsey at 12:00 noon. The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery.
