Op-Ed: Omar Herrera: Not Ready for Prime Time

Herrera's latest campaign flyer

Omar Herrera's latest campaign flyer is filled with typographical/spelling errors and fudges the truth.

Committment should be Commitment

Alter should be Altar (as a born and raised Catholic, I don't know, how he could've misspelled this word)

Mirco Fund should be Micro Fund

These errors may be overlooked, but, his fudging the truth, can not be overlooked.

If one were to look at this campaign flyer, one would assume that, Herrera has been Deputy Mayor SINCE 2015, as it is listed '2015 - Deputy Mayor, Village of Ossining.' Nothing could be further from the truth, because, for a majority of the past three-and-a-half years, he was NOT on the Village Board, but, elsewhere, in Albany, or wherever.

If someone is this lax is writing out a campaign flyer, how can we entrust him, with the responsibilities of Mayor?

Herrera is, simply, 'Not Ready for Prime Time.'

On the other hand, Victoria Gearity has led the Village with integrity, compassion and commitment (one 't' in the middle). Under her leadership, the Village has moved forward. I see no reason, not to vote for a progressive force, as she has demonstrated. I urge all registered Democrats in the Village to cast their vote for Mayor Victoria Gearity on Thursday, September 13.
