Ossining Children's Center Raises $150K For Scholarships
The Ossining Children's Center raised tuition assistance funds for some of its families.

From OCC: Overlooking the setting sun on the Hudson River, 135 supporters of the Ossining Children's Center (OCC) gathered at Abigail Kirsch's Tappan Hill in Tarrytown on Sunday evening, May 19, to raise funds for OCC's child care tuition assistance program.
The event also celebrated the contributions of two outstanding volunteers: Susan Midgley Komosa, President of the OCC Board (Visionary Leadership Award); and Jasmine Bar (Young Leader’s Award), a Columbia University rising senior who -- five years ago as a Briarcliff High School junior -- produced an invitational dance concert to benefit OCC, which has become an annual event.
The benefit raised more than $150,000 for child care tuition scholarships for low and moderate income working families.

OCC has been serving the Ossining community since 1895, providing high-quality childcare – from infants through 6th grade – in a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. An important partner of Ossining’s public schools, OCC is one of the few childcare and education centers to receive a four-star rating from Quality Stars NY, a division of the Early Childhood Advisory Council, the official agency that sets standards and evaluates child care programs for New York State.
