OSSINING, NY — The Annual Ossining Fire Department Parade is Friday. And as always it should be a great evening.
The OFD has been warming up at parades all over the county. The department came home with top honors from the Bedford Fire Department Annual Parade July 26, for example, as Rescue 14 & Engine 96 won Best Overall.
For the Ossining parade, the OFD and all their guests will proceed down the same route as usual, starting at Roosevelt Square (Pleasantville Road and Croton Avenue). The parade goes down Croton Avenue across Highland Avenue, then down Main Street to the waterfront.

The reviewing stand will be Main Street across from the Post Office. There are plenty of good places to view the parade, from sitting on the curb to the library steps to the planter wall on the island on Main Street. The OFD says, "get in town early and get your spot!"
