Food Drive Benefits Ossining Food Pantry

The Ossining Camp Meeting Association held a food drive to benefit the Ossining Food Pantry. More than 20 bags of nonperishable food items were collected from residents of the 45 historic cottages located off of Campwoods Road in Ossining. Residents of the Campwoods delivered the donated food to Trinity Church in downtown Ossining where the Food Pantry distributes food on Thursday nights and Friday mornings.
Martin B. Engelhardt, Jr., president of the Ossining Food Pantry states: "We are so very grateful to the members of the Ossining Camp Meeting Association for this generous donation. It is inspiring to see the community working together to help feed our neighbors in need."
The Ossining Food Pantry is called upon to feed a growing number of people each year. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization with no paid staff, relying on the hard work of volunteers and donations from the community.
