Ossining High School Continues Junior/Senior Buddy Project Tradition

Fifth Annual Initiative Celebrates Senior Students and Fosters Community Spirit Among Juniors

Ossining High School (OHS) is proud to announce the continuation of its beloved Junior/Senior Buddy Project, now in its fifth year. This heartwarming initiative, where OHS juniors surprise departing seniors with small gifts as they embark on their college journey, highlights the school’s strong culture of care and community support.

The Junior/Senior Buddy Project began in 2020 during the early months of the pandemic, initiated by a group of dedicated junior parents. What started as a way to bring joy and encouragement during uncertain times quickly became a cherished tradition at OHS. Each year, a new committee of junior parents takes on the project, ensuring that the legacy of kindness and support endures.

The project not only celebrates the achievements of the senior class but also fosters a sense of unity and camaraderie among the students. By participating in this project, juniors learn the importance of community, empathy, and the positive impact of small acts of kindness.
