Ossining Residents in Axial Theatre’s ‘Glass Ceiling Breakers’
The festival celebrates women playwrights and directors.
A glass ceiling is a metaphor used to represent an invisible barrier that keeps a given demographic (typically applied to women) from rising beyond a certain level.
WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Ossining residents Michael E. Boyle, Jr., Catherine Banks, Aisling Mulhern-Donoand Marilyn Collazo are appearing in a festival celebrating women playwrights and directors with seven original one-act plays March 31-April 2 — by Axial Theatre at its Pleasantville venue.
Glass Ceiling Breakers offers a compelling mix of comedy and drama written and directed by women. Coinciding with Women’s History Month, the plays range from farce to fantasy, and tackle themes as diverse as spiritual salvation and workplace brutality.

Performances take place Friday, March 31 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 1 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 2 at 4 p.m. at the Community House of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 8 Sunnyside Ave., Pleasantville, New York 10570. The plays ran the prior weekend as well.
