Ossining Voters Pick 2 New School Board Members, Return 1 Veteran

OSSINING, NY — Voters in the Ossining school district chose three school board members and approved the annual budget on Tuesday.

Four people sought the three trustee seats up for election. Rob Melstein, who was endorsed by the teachers' union among many others, was the top vote-getter.

The results sent out in a community email afterward:

• Annie Gomez: 1,006
• Kelly Leveille: 895
• Rob Melstein: 1,216
• Frank Schnecker (incumbent): 1,105

Voters approved the $167 million budget for 2023-24, which has no increase in the property tax levy.

• Yes: 1,394
• No: 334

They also authorized expenditure from the “Facilities Improvement Program 2017” capital reserve fund.

Yes: 1,441
No: 266
