Ossining Schools Host All-Staff Assembly

Student performances were the highlight of the annual event.

On Wednesday, August 30, the Ossining School District commenced the 2023-2024 school year with its annual All-Staff Assembly, an inspiring gathering that echoed with the resounding voices of students, underscoring the district's unwavering focus on student empowerment. The event showcased the remarkable talents of students, placing them firmly in the spotlight for the occasion.

The assembly was hosted by OHS students Jack Bergmann and Akayla Morris. Their engaging and enthusiastic emceeing set the tone for an inspiring event that celebrated community and collaboration.

Interim Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter delivered a powerful keynote address, emphasizing the importance of unity, innovation, and inclusivity within the district's community. Ms. Fox-Alter's words resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring both staff and students alike to strive for excellence in the school year ahead.

The assembly also provided a platform for Ms. Christine Mangiamele, Vice President of the Board of Education to share her remarks and express support for the district's vision and mission.
