Ossining Town Employees Train to Administer Heroin Overdose Antidote
There were three recent sessions and more are planned.

OSSINING, NY — Town of Ossining employees were trained recently in how to administer Narcan, the life-saving heroin overdose antidote.
A post by Town Supervisor Dana Levenberg on the town website said the three training session were organized by Sen. David Carlucci’s office.
Levenberg called the training “eye-opening.”

“Everyone was engaged and had many questions throughout the presentations, and it became apparent how close to home this epidemic truly hits with so many pain relief medications containing opiods,” she said.
Levenberg said the town is looking to set up more trainings in January to ensure all town employees have an opportunity to learn how to give the antidote in an emergency.
