Ossining Village Clerk Rejects Chamber of Commerce Petitions against Roundabout
Village officials have moved tonight's meeting, expecting a large turnout.

OSSINING, NY — The Village Clerk has rejected the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce’s petition for a public referendum on issuing bonds to pay for a roundabout at the intersection of Main and Spring streets.
Given that, village officials have decided to move tonight's Work Session. It will now take place at Birdsall-Fagan Police Court Facility at 86-88 Spring Street.
We anticipate a larger than usual attendance, and would like to provide more space for seating," Village Manager Paul Fraioli said in an email to the community. "While this is still a Work Session, we will invite questions from the public regarding the petition process."

According to the clerk's letter, some people who signed the petition don't live in the village and some aren't registered to vote in the village. Also, village law requires such petitions to include information about the signer's election district, which was not included, according to the letter.
